Shi's Nails Spa — BookFast
A beauty business runs on its calendar. BookFast gives Shi's Nails Spa online slots, deposits and automatic scheduling — no-shows drop, chairs stay full.
The brief
Salons and spas live and die by no-shows and phone-tag scheduling. Shi's Nails Spa needed clients to pick a service, pick a slot and commit — without anyone touching a phone.
I built their booking flow on BookFast: a service menu with real durations, slot availability, and optional deposits that make appointments stick.
What I built
- Service menu — treatments with durations, pricing and descriptions clients can browse.
- Slot scheduling — availability engine that prevents double-booking across services and staff.
- Deposits — M-PESA deposit option that cuts no-shows dramatically.
- Automated confirmations — instant booking confirmation plus reminders before the appointment.
- Owner dashboard — the week's calendar, client history and revenue at a glance.
Under the hood
Booking systems are constraint solvers: service duration, staff availability and slot granularity all intersect. The engine computes valid slots server-side so a client can never book a combination that doesn't fit — the calendar is always true.
Where it is now
Shi's runs her bookings through it — deposits mean committed clients, and the calendar manages itself while she works. Small system, outsized impact on a real business.
